The Mill at Conder Green
Elizabeth found me via Instagram. She asked if I was available to be there The Mill at Conder Green wedding photographer. I had shot weddings there before. So I knew that it was a beautiful wedding venue and had some great photo opportunities. When she went on to tell me that they were also getting married first at Lancaster Priory, I knew I wanted their wedding!
Sam and Elizabeth used to see each other on nights out around Lancaster. Sam often visited the shop in which Elizabeth worked. Eventually, they got to talking. One of their very first conversations, they were joking that they loved each other and would get married! It turned out not to be so much of a joke in the end!
Elizabeth recalls being really cross with Sam as he had secretly taken out a credit card. She confronted him about it. He had to confess that the reason he had taken it out was to buy her an engagement ring! He had planned to pop the question whilst they were away in Paris. Instead, he took her by surprise and asked her over Christmas. It was such a good job that he did bring the proposal forward as Covid-19 struck and they had to postpone their Paris trip for 2 years!
Like I said, this gorgeous couple chose to get married at Lancaster Priory because it is just a 2 minute walk from their home and they could think of their wedding day each time they saw it. They chose The Mill at Conder Green as they love the canal running along side and also so they can call back in with ease.
Their wedding day was so cold! The church grounds were solid frozen and we all had to tread with care. These two weren’t phased by the cold and were keen to make the most of the golden sunlight and the beautiful grounds at both venues.
I love being a The Mill at Conder Green wedding photographer and would love to get some more in my diary. If you are thinking of getting married, drop me a message to discuss.
Jane is an absolute professional. She definitely knows her way around a wedding and was so efficient at getting the pictures we wanted without taking too much time so we were still able to enjoy the day. The pictures are absolutely amazing!!Elizabeth & Sam
