Hobbit Hill Wedding Photographer – Vicky & Joe

Oh my gosh, I just have to share this incredible wedding I had the pleasure of capturing recently! When Vicky & Joe asked me to be their Hobbit Hill wedding photographer, I immediately said yes! Knowing them already through horses, I just knew what kind of vibe it would be. Vicky and Joe are such a fun couple and I knew their day would be unforgettable.

St. Peter’s Church, Salesbury

They chose Vicky’s childhood church in Salesbury for their wedding ceremony. She used to sing in the choir there as a child, which already had me feeling all the feels. Can you believe that her retired vicar even came back to do a reading? How sweet is that? It was like stepping into a beautiful memory for Vicky; you could see how much that place meant to her.

Then, talk about the perfect reception venue! As I said, they decided on Hobbit Hill in the Ribble Valley, which is totally fitting because they are both massive fans of Lord of the Rings. It was amazing to see little nods to their fandom sprinkled throughout the day. And let’s not forget about the live music! Since Vicky is a wedding singer and Joe sings & plays in a band, the live music theme ran through the entire celebration. It created this amazing, lively atmosphere that you could just feel in the air.

When it came time for the couple’s portraits, they were simply a dream. They were so natural in front of the camera, almost like they forgot I was there! We even managed to sneak away for some stunning golden hour shots by the River Ribble, and oh my goodness, the light was just perfect. Honestly, can we just rewind and do it all again?
