Mitton Hall Wedding Photographer

Danny and Leah viewed several Lancashire wedding venues before finding their dream venue – Mitton Hall. Leah said each venue they visited has a little something missing and she couldn’t place it. Although Leah’s Mum told them to go and have a look at Mitton Hall, Leah hadn’t gone. But then one day, a friend took her there for a birthday drink and she instantly knew that’s where she wanted to get married. She took Danny back a couple of days later and they booked straight away! Next, they booked me to be their Mitton Hall wedding photographer! Yay!

The Couple

Although this beautiful pair of party animals are both from Burnley in Lancashire, they had never crossed paths until they met at a rave in Blackpool and were instantly inseparable! Leah decided to take Danny home to meet her family. As they arrived, Danny announced that he had definitely been to her house before but couldn’t remember why. Leah was worried as she has a sister and was concerned things were about to get awkward! It turns out, that several years prior to them meeting, Danny had done some work on their drive. Leah actually remembered him doing it. Her and her Mum had felt sorry for the young lad who had been dropped off alone and in the rain to work. It seems fate wanted them to meet! Danny and Leah are an amazing couple. They have a very similar personality and bounce off each other.

The Big Day!

So, it was now Leah and Danny’s wedding day! I met the bridal party over at Leah’s family home in Burnley. The sun was belting down, the girls were all really excited, I knew it was going to be a good day. Hair, makeup and fizz were in full flow. The atmosphere was amazing.

I headed over to Mitton Hall ahead of the girls. I was met by Danny who was wearing a white tuxedo (a first for me, I love a first!). He had an excited and nervous energy going on and was keen to get started.

After a beautiful civil ceremony and confetti shot, the newlyweds and I took a trip out in their wedding car to a local beauty spot for some stunning portraits. Cromwell’s Bridge at Hurst Green is part of the Tolkien trail and a lot of couples like to go there for some portraits on the iconic bridge.

Leah and Danny’s wedding was amazing. It was full on from the word go. Their friends and family were all incredibly welcoming and up for some fun. Wayne Farrow was there to entertain throughout the day along with Darren Brand the magician. Tom from Exceed Events (DJ) was there to take over from Wayne and these guys were loving it!

I shoot weddings at Mitton Hall a lot. I often get asked if I get bored of shooting in the same venues. The short answer is, no I don’t. Each couple and each wedding is completely different.
