A fantastic lifestyle newborn shoot in Lancashire – Meeting Arabella

Dec 5, 2023

The perfect present – a lifestyle newborn shoot.

A couple of months ago, Bex, a lady I know from the yard where I keep my horse approached me. She told me that her brother & sister in law were expecting a baby and that her brother was turning 30! She asked if she could buy them a lifestyle newborn shoot in Lancashire as a joint present for both occasions. Of course!! Naturally, I asked if they knew if the baby was a boy or girl. But Andy & Naomi didn’t ask as they wanted a surprise. In a massive coincidence, Bex was also expecting a baby & she was also keeping the baby’s gender a surprise.

3 week old perfect baby girl.

Naomi messaged me with the amazing news! She had given birth to a gorgeous little girl and named her Arabella! I was absolutely made up for them. Obviously I congratulated them on the great choice of name too; My youngest is also called Arabella. But she is now 8 (going on 15!).

Anyway, we arranged a date for Arabella’s first photo shoot! But…. we had to delay it for a week as the main little lady had a sore rash on her face. Lifestyle shoots are different from studio shoots. They are a relaxed & natural shoot in the family home rather than props, baskets, big lights etc in a studio. This means the time frame for doing them is also more relaxed and they can be done pretty much whenever you would like.

Arabella was 3 weeks old when her photo shoot date arrived and she absolutely smashed it! She was really chilled out & never cried once! Andy & Naomi really looked after me whilst I was with them too, supplying me refreshments. I say that, but when they offered me a brew, they realised they had no milk. Bex only lives a couple of doors away, so she came to the rescue with some. She also brought her new little addition along. A baby boy named Reggie! How perfect? Not only did Bex have Reggie with her, she also had big cousin Jack. He did a great job with helping out with his two baby cousins.

Honestly, I am so excited for this little family. They were amazing to watch interacting with each other. There was so much love in the room.

If you fancy booking a lifestyle newborn shoot in Lancashire, feel free to drop me a message!

Anyway, enough from me. Check out this gorgeous shoot!
