Lancashire Wedding Photographer

Jackie & Tom first contacted me back in 2021 to book in their Browsholme Hall wedding. They explained that they were both really camera shy and never know how to react when they are being photographed. I suggested to them that it may also be as well to book a pre wedding shoot.

I suggested this for two reasons. Firstly, it is a good way to work with me and see that I am super chilled and have a relaxed approach. Also, a way of getting some super cute photos before the big day and have a bit of a practice in a more relaxed environment. They opted to do that. Yay! Being based in the Ribble Valley, Lancashire, we met at Clitheroe Castle. Within minutes of meeting me, I think they got over their fear! We spent most of our time chatting about cars, dogs and tattoos which I think distracted them both and we got some amazing shots!

Browsholme Hall & The Tithe Barn

This gorgeous couple got engaged during lockdown and did their wedding venue viewings online, falling in love with Browsholme Hall wedding venue straight away! They absolutely loved that it was an exclusive wedding venue and also that everything could be done there without having to travel anywhere else. They loved the building and especially the beautiful grounds.

The Wedding

2 & 1/2 years after first speaking to Jackie & Tom, their big day was finally here! Jackie and the girls got ready in the cottage whilst Tom and the lads got ready in the glamping pods. Jackie looked absolutely stunning! Her olive skin and dark hair looked absolutely incredible against her red lipstick (I am a massive fan of a red lip).

After a beautiful civil ceremony, we then headed off out into the cold for some stunning couples portraits. They even decided to be brave and head out on to the lake in a rowing boat! It quickly became apparent that Tom can’t row!! I’ve got to admit, I laughed hard at him; flapping the oars around and hardly moving. Although, looking at the photographs, it was definitely worth it.

The barn was decorated beautifully for their wedding breakfast. Amore Event Stylists and Seed and Wild had done an incredible job. Twelve Thornton had done an amazing job with a delicious wedding breakfast and Ryan Smith played his legendary game of ‘wedding bingo’ which lead on into a fantastic evening. Ryan & Nick had the dance floor bouncing, there was more food and even more importantly…… cake!!

Jane is absolutely amazing! Me and my husband always feel so awkward in front of a camera and so many wedding photographers just advertise themselves as a fly on the wall and that will just take random snapshots of moments in your wedding which filled us with fear as we do need some direction to what we should be doing in order to feel more comfortable. Jane gave just the right amount of direction and put us at ease so quickly and got some amazing photos. She made two self conscious people actually think that we are hot! Jane has captured some of our favourite photos of us. She got involved with more than just our wedding photos she actually got involved when helping me get in my dress and so many little things to ensure our day ran and smooth as possible
