Kiera & Nick

I have known Kiera and Nick for a while. They are bonkers! They have so many funny stories. Their engagement story being one of them. Nick took Kiera away to Scotland. He had previously told Kiera that he didn’t want to get married. That in fact, was a lie. He secretly had the ring! He’d booked a lodge on the sea front with on site parking. It was raining when they arrived and the on site parking was actually a mile from the lodge. They set off down the beach with their dogs, Molly & Val. Nick decided to pop the question. Also, propped his mobile phone up on the dog poo bags so he could film it. Kiera said yes! I was so happy when they asked me to be their Bartle Hall wedding photographer. It’s a great venue and I knew it was going to be fun!

The Wedding

Kiera & Nick had picked an amazing bunch of Lancashire wedding suppliers. I have previously worked with most of them before. Kiera had also told me about how she loves low key, plain and simple things. So I was so shocked to see her wedding dress. Don’t get me wrong, it was absolutely stunning. But I was expecting a plain, satin dress. Nope! It was covered in glitter and so much detail!

Molly & Val led the way down the aisle with Kiera’s two bridesmaids. I don’t think there was a chance they would get married without their beautiful dogs. Have I mentioned that I love dogs at weddings?

Confetti and couples portraits were fab. What I hadn’t realised whilst I was outside, lining their guests up for confetti was, Kiera & Nick were inside doing shots of tequila! We did the confetti shot and went for portraits. As you can imagine, they were now super chilled (and a bit tipsy!). The legal bit was over, some shots had been had and they were up for some fun. Kiera wasn’t surprised to see that Nick had brought his cowboy hat along.

Anyway, this was only supposed to be a short introduction for their sneak peek. Their day was awesome, from bridal preparations all the way through to dancing. Enjoy!
