The Couple
Sarah & Clint actually met a long time before they got married. They worked together at Morrison’s in Preston. They went their separate ways; Clint to college and the army and Sarah to raise her family. 21 years later, they had both separated from their other halves and bumped into each other in Morrisons of all places! A spark struck and they realised they wanted to spend more time together. 3 years later, Clint proposed to Sarah with a vintage engagement ring and she said yes! The venue was booked and I was asked to be their Samlesbury Hall wedding photographer! Woohoo!
Samlesbury Hall Wedding
Sarah & Clint got married on 30th December so Samlesbury Hall in Lancashire was dressed for Christmas. Sarah wore a green velvet dress and Clint wore an alternative black suit and shiny shoes. Both outfits suited the venue and the way the venue was dressed perfectly! They both love antiques, fires, candles etc and say they should have been born in a different age.
Sarah & Clint had opted for a smaller wedding with just their children, immediate family and a selection of friends. Obviously Reuben, their very handsome fox red Labrador made it to the guest list. I say this all the time but I absolutely love dogs at weddings. Reuben wore a black dickie bow tie and was trusted to transport the wedding rings down the aisle.
Their choice of food and drink also fitted their vibe – Starting with mulled wine after the ceremony. For their wedding breakfast, they had lamb hotpot followed by the biggest selection of cake you have ever seen! Cups of tea in china cups finished it off perfectly. The newlyweds had opted not to have an evening reception as they wanted to start their married life, just the two of them snuggled up in the cottage. Why not?
If you are looking for a Samlesbury Hall wedding photographer (or anywhere else for that matter), drop me a message. I would love to discuss.
Jane x
Jane was amazing. She came on time and even though she wasn’t feeling well she still gave it 1000%. We felt so totally comfortable in her company and the process of moving around and taking pictures was totally enjoyable.
Thanks very much Jane, I would recommend to anyone!
Clint & Sarah
P.S. I really wasn’t well. I had some sort of flu and what turned out to be a chest infection.
