Lancashire wedding at Mitton Hall

Based in the Ribble Valley myself, I absolutely love it when I get to photograph weddings at beautiful Ribble Valley venues. Charlotte and Marc asked me to shoot their Lancashire Wedding at Mitton Hall which definitely falls into that category! Mitton Hall was built in the 15th century and is absolutely stunning! As you walk in through the main doors into the original building, you are greeted with the warmth of a huge open fire and wooden balcony surround. Not only is the building amazing, have you seen its gardens? They are incredible and perfect for wedding portraits!

Yesterday, Charlotte and Marc got married there. I’ve actually known Charlotte for many years. She was bridesmaid at her sister’s wedding that I shot last year. So it was amazing to shoot her Lancashire wedding at Mitton Hall this year and see her sister return the favour.

I had spoken to Charlotte earlier in the week. She was so worried about the weather forecast (100% rain) as they were desperate to get outside for the confetti shot amongst other pictures they really wanted in the stunning grounds of Mitton Hall. I promised them that I’d do my best and keep a close eye on it. Anyway….. the rain definitely came. But we did get a few couple of minutes break. I had already warned Charlotte and Marc that we would have to work fast to get the results they wanted.
