Yorkshire Wedding Photographer

Being based in Lancashire, I spend a lot of time in Yorkshire. Both as a Yorkshire wedding photographer and also personally with my family and dogs exploring the countryside, towns and villages. I love nipping over the border, whatever the occasion.

The Bride Squad

I met up with Olivia and the girls at a lovely Airbnb (Castley’s House). It was just round the corner from Thornton Hall Farm near Skipton – Perfect! Olivia and Chris are both from Skipton and wanted to keep things close by. Anyway, we had a chilled morning swapping stories, eating food and getting ready. Just as the bridal squad were ready, Olivia’s Dad and brother arrived to have a sneaky look at their gorgeous girl.

Thornton Hall Farm – The Wedding

Olivia and Chris are both outdoor enthusiasts and animal lovers, so Thornton Hall Farm was the ideal venue for their special day. Much like myself, they have horses and dogs in their lives and are always busy outside. Their little dog, Finn was a guest of honour too!

This was my first time at Thornton Hall Farm and the weather really spoiled me! The sun shone brightly all day and we were able to have an outdoor ceremony. Yippee! After Chris and Olivia were announced Mr & Mrs, their friends and family showered them with confetti before heading off for a refreshing drink. I hadn’t realised that the venue came with a quad caterpillar ride! I have got to be honest, I absolutely love my job but it would have been fun to swap with the man driving the quad for 10 minutes!

Portraits, Food & Dancing

I was keen to make use of Thornton Hall Farms fantastic backdrops, including meadows, the animal barn and the camping area for Olivia and Chris’ wedding portraits. We did those both before and after a delicious wedding breakfast! I love it when couples feed me and the food supplied by The Outside Kitchen was just what I needed. It was amazing!

Later on in the day, Tom and his band had the dance floor absolutely bouncing. Teethy smiles and arms in the air. Just what every dance floor needs!

As a Yorkshire wedding photographer, capturing natural photographs of Olivia and Chris’ Thornton Hall Farm wedding was incredible. It was a day filled with so much love and laughter, and I feel genuinely grateful to have been a part of it. If you are getting married in Yorkshire, or anywhere else for that matter, feel free to drop me a message to discuss.
