Browsholme & The Tithe Barn
Annabel and Jack booked to have a spring Browsholme Hall wedding. They loved how relaxed and at ease they felt when they went to view this amazing Ribble Valley wedding venue. I personally love it as it is absolutely beautiful and has so many natural photo opportunities. Another plus point is it is only 20 minutes from my house! Win, win!
The Couple
Annabel and Jack met in 2014 whilst they were backpacking in Australia! They were working on the same banana farm. How crazy is that? They went on their separate travels but always stayed in contact. They eventually got together and travelled together before moving in with each other in Melbourne. Travel seems to be popular with these guys as they went on to get engaged in Ibiza!
Meeting Me
Annabel contacted me to be their wedding photographer in August 2022. We got on instantly and they booked me pretty much straight away. It was a couple of days later when Annabel contacted me again to say that we had actually met earlier that year! It was only when she went on to tell me about Reuben, their mini dachshund that everything clicked into place. I had been out walking my 4 dogs and had bumped into Annabel and Reuben. We sat and chatted for ages, comparing notes on crazy dachshunds!
Spring Browsholme Hall Wedding
Annabel, her Mum, Judith and Maid of Honour, Claire got ready for the day in the Woodland Glade glamping pods on site.
Of course, the main man Reuben was there too. How could he not be? Just look how smart he looked with his bow tie! Annabel asked me if I’d make sure he appeared in some photos. Being a massive dog lover, he was always going to feature. I just love dogs at weddings!
Annabel and Jack had hoped to get married on the beautiful Italian steps and front lawn outside Browsholme Hall itself. Unfortunately, the weather had other ideas! It had rained in the days leading up to and the morning of the wedding. Obviously, they were both upset this couldn’t happen, but fortunately, The Tithe Barn is also beautiful too! I have a rain tracker on my phone so had my eye on that. As soon as we got a break in the weather, I whisked the newly weds out into the gardens for some stunning portraits before it threw it down again!
After a delicious wedding breakfast and speeches, the wedding guests were able to get outside to play some lawn games organised by the couple and we even managed the confetti shot and at dusk! Poor Annabel’s Mum had handmade the confetti so I was determined to get it used.
Cute fact – The head dress that Annabel wore actually belongs to her Auntie. She wore it for her wedding, then Annabel’s Mum, then her cousins and eventually Annabel! The head dress turns 50 years old later this year.
